I use distilled white vinegar and baking soda all of my household cleaning! It really does the job!

Recipe and methods for cleaning

All purpose Cleaner:

1/2 cup vinegar

2 cups of water

1 tablespoon of Dr. Bronners peppermint soap

Put all ingredients in a spray bottle and use for counter tops, tables, quick floor messes and our couches.

Windows and appliances:

1 cup vinegar

1 cup water

Put ingredients into a spray bottle and use to clean mirrors and appliances. I also use this spray to clean toilets and the bathtub and shower.

Mop Solution:

1/2 cup vinegar

1 gallon of water

Mix in a bucket and use to clean the floors!

As far as toilets and bathtubs are concerned, I spray the “window cleaner” to saturate and then sprinkle baking soda over the areas I sprayed on, I let the mixture sit for about 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, I wipe the bathtub with a rag and then rinse with warm water. I scrub the toilets with a toilet brush and then flush.

When I first started cleaning with vinegar, I did not like the smell, I still don’t love it but the smell goes away after it dries! If cleaning with vinegar is too stinky for you, there are plenty of smelly good brands that do not test on animals!
