#whatiateyesterday 2/13/20

Hello beautiful people ?? welcome back to my very informal blog space! I feel like I ate ALL of the things yesterday ?? let’s get into it!

Breakfast:

Blueberry orange mango smoothie prep

I had this smoothie directly after my workout while I was chilling (haha) in the sauna. I did not like this combination of flavors and would not recommend it. It wasn’t disgusting but it wasn’t something I would want someone to try. One thing I’ve learned in this smoothie game, you win some and you lose some ???

  • Frozen blueberries
  • Cara Cara oranges
  • Frozen mango
  • Spinach
  • Orgain vanilla protein powder

Lunch:

Pressed Oyster mushroom salad

Hello, my name is Andrea and addicted to mushrooms ? that sounds really bad. I legit mean regular mushrooms! I just love them so much! There is no actual recipe for this. I placed some oyster mushrooms in a heated skillet with a bit of oil, salt and pepper. I’ll pressed them with a different skillet, cooked for a few minutes on each side. Hella delicious ? I’m sure Shayla at sweetveganeats.com will be coming up with a recipe soon! I also tossed the greens with soy sauce, sesame oil and sesame seeds.

Pressed Oyster mushroom salad

  • Pressed Oyster mushrooms
  • Spinach
  • Tomatoes
  • Toasted black sesame seeds
  • Soy sauce
  • Toasted sesame oil
  • Avocado
  • Hemp seeds

Dinner:

Dr Laura’s plant based burger

These Dr. Laura plant based burgers were on sale at Safeway so I decided to give them a try! 3/4 of us liked them but only 3 of us actually tried them, I ate 2 ??? I liked these burgers. They are comparable to Beyond Burgers in my opinion! I would definitely buy them again!

  • Field roast Chao cheese
  • Dr. Laura’s plant based burger
  • Avocado
  • Artesano burger buns
  • Red onion
  • Tomato
  • Vegan mayo
  • Ketchup
  • Mustard

Snacks:

I had entirely too many snacks today! I discovered the deliciousness of crackers and tortilla chips in the bean puree that I made on Wednesday and it was on and Poppin! Such a delicious combination ?

Cannellini bean dip

As always, thanks for stopping by! If you have any questions, feel free to ask! See you tomorrow ?
