Hello Love! Welcome back to my space! While I was I was out for my walk yesterday, I had a few things come up that I shared in my morning movement message:
The book Pleasure Activism has me thinking about how throughout our history our existence as women has been wrapped up in being desired by men. I can’t stop thinking about how unfair it is to not only women but men as well. For example, this idea of what a masculine man looks like, leaves an entire spectrum of what a man can be as ‘other’. As I mentioned, this is not a fully articulated thought but I had to share. My hope is that we can all get in touch with our desires and let that lead us into relationships as our full and authentic selves. This is definitely an ongoing conversation!
This challenge has changed the way I look at food. Having this list of daily dozens to check off, daily at times is overwhelming. It doesn’t feel very intuitive but it has shown me where I need help in balancing my diet. It’s one of those things I didn’t know I needed. I don’t think I will look at the daily dozens app for a long time after I’m done with this challenge but it has changed my mindset around how to nourish my body in a more balanced way!
I know for the most part before this challenge it looks like I eat this way all the time but there’s definitely more processed food in my diet than in these last 52 days! The thing about now is I don’t have room for a bunch of processed food because I’m trying to get in my 20 out of 24 servings 🤣 and I don’t know how to check a box with a processed food 😅🤣 That’s just how my brain works. I will say this, I don’t like the judgement when it comes to processed food. I don’t like the term healthy anymore for example, because it implies that health looks the same for everyone and it really doesn’t. When it comes to your mental, spiritual, emotional and physical body what’s healthy is going to look different everyday! As I always say, listen to your body! Your body knows what’s up!
