75 Hard- Day 6- How is this hard?

Hello Love and welcome back to my space! Day 6 almost broke me, lol. Consistency has always been one of those things that is illusive to me, lol. If you follow me on Instagram or Tiktok, you may think that the consistency that I have with movement is alive and well in all aspects of my life, nay nay, lol. That is not the case AT ALL! This is the main reason why I wanted to do this challenge and the challenge is challenging, lol.

Someone left a comment asking “how is this hard?” Well, to start off getting two movement sessions in a day when you have a whole family with needs and desires is hard! By the end of the day, all I want to do is mindlessly scroll. Now, I do have to say that I LOVE that this challenge has encouraged the start of reading again! I love that I never stop at just 10 pages, I legit get lost in a book when I get started! Movement at the end of the day is super challenging! By the end of the day, I don’t want to do anything. On the other hand, I love that I found a love for yoga! I legit cried during my first session of this challenge because it made my body feel soooooooo soul good!

All in all, it’s getting me out of my comfort zone and although challenging AF, I NEED this in my life! I am so glad that i decided to share this journey with y’all! Once I get into the swing of things, I will be sharing simple recipes a few times a week!

As always I started my day with meditation and then got dressed and took Roxy and Chloe for a walk. After dropping them off, I headed out to clock my first movement session of the day. When I get home from my run it’s time to get the kids ready for a school, breakfast, pack lunches and then head out!

After I dropped them off at school, I headed to Trader Joe’s specifically for hash browns, and left the store with a cart full of things, but no hash browns, lol. When I get a bag of cashews, I cannot help but to bust them open immediately, lol. The kids had a half day so it felt like I blinked and it was time to pick them up! I had my smoothie in the pick up line!

Side note, whenever I’m typing these out, I feel like I have the most boring, mundane life, but it’s part of this exercise, lol. After picking the kids up, we head home and make lunch. I had THE most delicious lunch bowl with the chopped up leftovers from taco Tuesday. We got the kids homework done and had some quiet time!

As I was chopping up dinner, I snacked on my counter cashews, lol. One thing about me is I’m always snacking on cashews! They are my absolute favorite nut! Unsalted, unroasted are my favorite! I also snacked on some grapes while making dinner.

For dinner we had a lovely creamy mushroom and potato soup. It was soooooo good! After dinner, we went for a family walk but it was only 20 minutes so not enough to clock my second 45 minute movement session. After our walk we had some quiet alone time and I used that time to read Racism As Zoological Witchcraft by Aph Ko. After the kids went to bed, I went downstairs for a yoga session. Not gonna lie, I did not want to do it but it felt sooooooo good! At some point during my yoga session, I got a hankerin for peanut butter banana toast and could not stop thinking about it so after my post yoga journal session, I made THE most amazing peanut butter toast!
