Hello Love! Welcome back to my space! It’s funny how I finished Pleasure Activism sobbing and I’m now reading, The Body Is Not An Apology and the first 10 pages have me bawling my eyes out. I legit could only finish 10 pages because I’m like, this is a lot. I don’t talk about my body image issues because I don’t feel like I even have a grasp on how I feel but reading how uncomfortable other women feel in their bodies, breaks my heart. I know that there are so many women out there, that hate their bodies. It takes up so much brain space. We could be doing so many more “productive” things with our time but here we are worrying about something that in the grand scheme of things doesn’t matter. But in the society that we live in, there is so much pressure put upon women and the way that our bodies look. It’s too much at times. I’m not sure that I’m ready to be broken open the way that this book is breaking me open but I’ve already started it so now I’ve got to finish it. I know this is a rambling of thoughts but if the first 10 pages are any indication of what’s to come, I feel like it’s going to be transformative! Anywho, Let’s get into:
