The Artist’s Way Challenge-Get Out Of The Comparison Trap

Hello Love and welcome back to my space! Day 26 of The Artist’s Way Challenge down! Although I woke up yesterday feeling so overwhelmed, I was able to do a meditation that allowed me to tap into some calm, lol. One of the things I finding interesting about this challenge is that I am trying to allow all of the feelings that are coming up to move through me all the while being too busy with life and challenge obligations to put those into actual practice. Although my meditations are helpful, I’m still feeling like I’m rushing through the life. I’m trying to figure out how to work through this by being present and taking each moment by moment instead of constantly thinking about this to-do list that is going on in my head.

Lately feelings up inadequacy have been popping up and inevitably leading me into the comparison trap. In this digital age it is easy to get caught up in these feelings, so if that’s you, don’t beat yourself up about it. Be mindful that it is happening and once you are, stop yourself from ruminating by asking yourself: what magic am I missing out on in my life, while I’m busy comparing my life to someone else’s? That question snaps me out of my ‘woe is me’ and into ‘OMG, I have so much to be thankful for’. I know there are other ways that people deal with comparison but this my favorite and I hope it’s helpful! Alright, let’s get into these…
