The Artist’s Way Challenge- Why Not?

Hello Love and welcome back to my space! Yesterday I completed Day 49 of The Artist’s Way Challenge! Although my family and I have been gallivanting around town, I have been able to maintain my challenge duties! We encountered all sorts of mishaps on our way out of town so we decided to skip the 2 hour drive and stay local. We ended up kayaking at Booker T Washington Park and it ended up being a beautiful day!

When things don’t go according to plans it’s best to have a “why not?” attitude. Yesterday was definitely one of those days! We were headed our town and would have had to be on the road for an hour longer each way because of road closures. Michael turns to me and asks if we should go somewhere closer to get our kayaks in the water, I said “why not?” lol. I have noticed that taking a “why not?” approach to life, leads to a life that leads to flow and enjoyment of life instead of holding so tightly to plans that have been made.

If I’m being real, this whole experiment/challenge is a big ole “why not?” exercise! I have noticed a theme in these writings and prompts, DO WHAT YOU WANT TO DO IN THIS LIFE(as long as you are not hurting anyone), lol. While I’m hollering at you, I’m also hollering at myself, lol. So, what are you saying “why not?” to today? Alright, let’s get into these….
