Day 1 Reflections
Hello love and welcome back to my space! Yesterday completed Day 1 of The Artist’s Way Challenge checking all of my boxes! Woot Woot! Yesterday went well, of course it did, it’s the first day of the challenge. I did have a lot of nervous energy just as I did when I started the 75 hard challenge. All of the feelings of self doubt begin to creep up. I will continue to move through those feelings, reminding myself that it’s ok to move out of my comfort zone.
Last night while reading The Artist’s Way, I came across this quote/saying that rings true about how I started this challenge: “Leap and the net will appear”. It spoke to me because I don’t know what I’m doing or what direction this is going to go, I’m just excited for the ride.
After typing up that list of “rules” and signing the contract the thing I can’t get out of my head is “excellent self care”. I take pretty go care of myself, but excellent, I don’t think so. I often forget to drink water, there are streaks when I KNOW I am not getting enough sleep/rest, looking at my phone until right before I lay my head down can’t be ‘excellent’ for my mental health and the whole eating in bed situation has been going on(off and on for 2 and a half years).
These are areas that I know will improve with the rules that I have set in place for myself. For the past two nights I left my phone downstairs to charge and I have already noticed a difference in the way I feel! All in all, day one was great! Things are going to be be a little clunky for the next few days as far as ‘content’ goes but I am hoping to get into a groove soon!
