Hello Love and welcome back to my space! I can’t believe it’s been 2 weeks!!! Day 14 of the challenge down! Somehow the time has flown by and gone really slow at the same time. I don’t know how that’s possible. I gotta say, I’m pretty proud of myself! This weekend has been such a breezy time and I’ve enjoyed being able to leisurely complete my life and challenge tasks.
Today I went for a sad excuse for an Artist Date. I only had an hour before I had to get home because my daughter wanted me to take her to the skating rink. With that hour, I went to a thrift store with the idea to create a “Earthy Girl” Outfit. I’ve been seeing this trend on TikTok and I freakin love it. Although I don’t subscribe to any particular style, I don’t think I’ve covered “Earthy Girl” at least not in this decade, lol.
Although my Artist Date was short, I enjoyed the time I took to myself. I suppose part two of the Artist Date will be putting together an outfit with the pieces I found today. I’m also thinking of Artist Dates that don’t involve spending money! Next week I think, I’ll take myself on a picnic by the river!
One of the things that I’m enjoying about this challenge is feeling playful. I keep saying I don’t know where this challenge is taking me but it feels good. It feels bliss full. I know that living in this capitalistic society makes it challenging, damn near impossible to do the things that bring us joy, that excite us, but I feel like that is more of a reason to give into the things that fill us up. One of the reasons I KNOW that I am feeling more blissful and excited is I am spending more time creating and less time consuming. The more I create, the more I want to create.
I think I might tackle the ‘UNPLUG’ prompt but for now I want to encourage you to do more of the things that fill you up and create joy. I know that these apps can spark joy but creation/creating is a whole different type of bliss, excitement and joy! Overall, this has been a wonderful 2 weeks and I’m truly looking forward to the rest of the challenge! Alright, let’s get into these…
