The Artist’s Way Challenge-Grief Is Love With No Where To Go

Hello Love and welcome back to my space! Yesterday I completed Day 28 of The Artist’s Way Challenge! Although the sleep I got on Monday was amazing last’s night sleep put me back into full human mode, lol. Imma need a post camping (if I ever go again, lol, recovery routine!

Sunday was the 7 year anniversary of my fathers death. Although I don’t talk about it, he is one of the reasons I am vegan. When I was questioning my relationship with non-human animals, he called to tell me they found a growth in his body. When I got off the phone I immediately got on the Google and asked, what causes cancer in that particular area of the body. I looked over the list and one of those was processed meats. Although the dilemma I was having stemmed more from the ethics, this was one of those pings that got my attention.

There is not a day that goes my that I don’t think about that man. I love(d) him so much. Often when I am deep in grief (because it does not go away or get easier) I remind myself that grief is just love with nowhere to go. On those days I am so gentle with myself and allow myself to talk to him as if he is still here. If you are grieving the loss of a loved one, I wanted to remind you to be gentle with yourself and I’m sending you so much love. Alright, let’s get into these…
