The Artist’s Way Challenge- Listen To You Body And Rest!

Hello Love and welcome back to my space! Friday I completed Day 75 of The Artist’s Way Challenge! Yes, today is Monday…welp about that my body told me to sit my ass down and it did and didn’t really get up and going until this morning. I slept through the weekend like a hadn’t slept in a really long time. I wasn’t feeling sick, just a tired that I simply could not push through. My body said, “oh hell no”, lol. If this had happened at the beginning of the challenge. I might have started over but since it’s happening at the end here, Imma go ahead and start where I left off!

This whole “too tired to get out of bed” thing has absolutely happened to me before. It’s always after pushing myself so hard and not allowing for proper rest. The signs were there:

  • Reaching for caffeine earlier in the day.
  • Mood swings
  • Focus out of wack
  • Forgetfulness

Although I have been going to bed at reasonable times, there have been times in the past couple of times in the past few weeks where I feel tired after a full night’s rest. There have been signs that I have needed to slow down and get in some deep rest. I ignored them thinking, the challenge is almost over and I’ll rest the, my body said, no, lol. I wanted to remind you if you are constantly on the go, if you don’t make time for the proper rest your body is desiring, your body will make the time for you! Alright, let’s get into these…
