The Artist’s Way Challenge- Play!!!!

Hello Love and welcome back to my space! Yesterday I completed Day 66 of The Artist’s Way Challenge!!! What a day, What a day! Although going on Artist’s Dates is part of the challenge, I haven’t been on one since a few days before my mom was in town. Today, after my movement session, I took myself on a proper Artist’s Date and it was so lovely! I went to McKays which is a used media store. I usually take my family with me but to be alone in a store like that is simply magical!! I love looking for cookbooks to get some inspiration for meals but when my family is with me I feel like I’m being pulled in all sorts of directions. It was wonderful to take my time looking through the books! I definitely want to make a habit of going there for solo dates even after this challenge ends!

I started to share something about this prompt the other day but wasn’t feeling it, so I’m checking back in, lol. I know that as adults we have so many responsibilities that it can be easy to get caught up, leaving us with no time and space for play! I wanted to remind you that just as play is important for children developmentally, it is important for adults as well! There are many benefits of play for adults, it can boost your creativity, improve your sense of humor and help you cope better with stress! What is considered play for adults? Anything you do that brings you joy and lights you up can be considered play! And if someone sees you being silly, tell them , it’s for my health, lol! Alright, let’s get into these…
