The Artist’s Way Challenge- Focus On What You can Control

Hello Love and welcome back to my space! Another day down of The Artist’s Way Challenge! Yesterday we packed up the truck and went on a little camping trip. When we go to our spot, we usually stay for the day and then drive the hour back. There were all sorts of circumstances that made this trip particularly challenging. When we arrived, they ground was super wet and muddy from the days of rain fall. We made the best of it and set up camp doing our best to stay out of the super muddy areas. I had too much fun going on little kayak trips in the areas, I also loved seeing the kids deep in play!

When it was finally time to go to sleep, we headed to the tent and we all fell asleep pretty quickly. We were all awakened by a wild storm! It rained so heavy that the water began to make it’s way into the tent. By the time the rain stopped, there was at least a gallon of water in the tent. It was a wild ride, I don’t recommend it, lol.

It was pretty easy to get caught up in my thoughts and think about our tent sliding down the hill or a tree falling down on us but I kept telling myself to ‘focus on what you can control’. So often we allow our thoughts to spin us out of control, leaving us feeling helpless and disempowered. To feel empowered, focus on what is in your control! Alright, let’s get into these…
