Hello Love and welcome back to my space! Yesterday I completed Day 43 of The Artist’s Way Challenge! Woot woot!!! These past few Mondays have felt like THE longest days of life, lol. I’m like wait, today is only Tuesday!
I have been thinking about the book, All About Love by Bell Hooks, in which she talks about the ways of love.
“To truly love we must learn to mix various ingredients – care, affection, recognition, respect, commitment, and trust, as well as honest and open communication.”
Bell Hooks, All About Love: New Visions
That quote was shared on the beginning of the book and I have not been able to get it out of my head every since. I often wonder how different our current social landscape would be if we took that meaning of loving and truly lived by it. I often ask myself, ‘what would love do?’ when I know that I need to have difficult conversations or have something weighing heavy on my heart. In answering myself, the definition that Hooks gives in her book, is close to how I respond, in the most loving way possible. In the face of so many atrocities, so much heartbreak, I wanted to encourage you to move through the world asking, ‘what would love do’ and allow that to guide you! Alright, let’s get into these…
